I finally got some time to tend to the garden and make it look nice again, still having a hell of a time with a weed called Cock's foot in German Hahnfuß, its really aggressive and taking over all of my herb beds.

But I did get to plant my brassies since I just need fillers for my beds, then have many big seedlings of zukes and pumpkins to set out, but we are still having below temps at nights, so i have not set them out yet.

For some strange reason, I thought the herbs were just dried at the tips and that cutting them back will bring some new growth, only to find they were totally DEAD. One slight pull on the root and it came right out with rotted end stems and white fungus in the dirt. So I lost about 95 % of my herb garden. I am glad in a way but sad the plants died. I was not happy with the look of the herb area once it got to being a mature area. So now I can easily create the look I want and hope for the bed. ...

So I didnt want to throw out those innocent little sparemint cuttings, so I decided to use them as FILLERS all over the garden

two years later I have what is called the nightmare of the mint invasion. Even roundup didnt harm them. How can I get rid of this its all over the garden, in places from front to back. even creeping into the green hosue area, under paved areas and also taken up house on tree trunks. :smt013nI cut open a pumpkin last night to make some soup and lo and behold I had trees in there. Most of th seeds has germinated and formed roots and all had leaves. They were white cuz no sunshine. But to form roots now in the body of the pumpkin itself? Can I now take these little plants and repot them?

Can beans be started in doors and if so when and how do they take to transplant? Reason I am asking is cuz I have actually seens bean seedlings in the garden centers.

I have potted up two of the Rosemary plants since summer and didnt put them in the ground as I normally to die, so now they are indoors with a westerly light and I am wanting to know just how to keep them from dying? Woooo wee, we went to the Black Forest this weekend, and harvested over 200 plus pounds of apples and pears. They are lovely growing wild so all organic. pears are so sweet. I am eating a lot of them, will make liquor, jams, jelly, and pies with the apples and mainly eat the pears and make liquor with them, YUMMMMMM and all FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE

We will go back again this coming weekend and get more
