Have you had any winter at all so far? Mine is still sitting on the balcony waiting to be whisked inside in case of a frost.
Otherwise I think you might need another plant, unless you're fond of mature hookers?

No, I hear that there has been no winter in Germany and the temps range from 8 to 12C and plummeth at night to about 2 etc.  Tips still look so so green But is yours bright and cheerful? I have had terrible luck with Rosemary. I once had a very large 6 plus foot one but it died two years back. i only wish to have one like that again outdoors, but how? Each year they perish.

My big one suffered too, two years ago in that bad winter, and many people had theirs die. I suppose mine is in a sheltered spot, plus had leaves on the roots as extra protection.

that is totally wrong, you cant water a rosemary every day not even in summer, they do not like their feet wet.

If you have a fireplace cremate it

Mine is perking up. I am seeing signs that the brown is turning a sorry shade of green, nothing to write Channel 6 about, but still looking better than when I was not here over the holidays. There is still hope. It gets a bit of sun from the big window every now and then.

I am glad you can keep yours alive :) I want to plant one outside now. They are supposed to be able to take a pretty hard frost. I wonder if they can take a
-zero like 12 below or lower??

No, its  a lie. They really cannot take a hitting from the cold. the are warm climate plants and really need to be sheltered nad kept their feet dry in winter. Do like me, after I have lost so many beutiful rosemary plants I have just given up and potted two big ones last year and have been growing them in post. Now its the first winter to keep them alive, once I make it thru this one, it should be used to being brought indoors and kept at a window with light. I may however, take it outdoors to catth itself in the ground in summer and put a crocas bag around th roots so when I try to dig it up in fall it wont be so mjuch damage to the root sytem and repot in a m uch larger pot. martha stewart does this and hers are lovely.

these are looking not too bad, we are not having a very harsh winter but quite mild but not much sun. Give it artificial light and it should be good. If you must get one, plant it indoors at a light window now and turn on light when sunshine is not so much like a take hallogen light.

http://www.wbuf.noaa.gov/tempfc.htm

That would make -24.444444 centigrade?
Cannot be!

But even -12 it wouldn't like!

Like Fussy says, it's like a lizard!

Huh? did I say lizard?  this plant is strange, I have been eyeballying it with magnifier class , I am seeing somethign that potentially resembles the onset of flowers , i fertilize it and it got pretty green at the very tops but bottom looks laggy. But soon we will have spring.
